Good news for Magic fans who have contacted me for paintings on the backs of their Artists' Proof cards!
Thanks to Margaret Organ-Kean, these paintings are now possible. She introduced me to a product that coats the back of the cards and makes them suitable for sketching and painting in oils. This makes me a very happy camper.
You can have your cards done for $30 per card for a sketch, or $40 per card for an oil painting. The quantity discount still applies to multiple purchases of card sets, but not to the painting commissions on the back.
Visit the Artists’ Proof Card gallery to see many of these colorful little commissions. As the name infers, all the images in this gallery were done on the backs of Magic the Gathering proof cards.
You can order your proofs from me directly or send your own. This page has a list of the proofs that remain. Titles listed in purple are sold out.
If you would like to commission a drawing in your book, please contact Mark Arnowitz at firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
Just so you know, I don’t sign the book through the mail without a commission, and here’s why. It is because the books are too valuable and the more they travel the more chance there is for something really bad to happen. Plus, the more signatures and artwork you have in your book the more valuable it becomes, and frankly, our postal carrier is just too careless. I don not want anything to happen to your book on my watch. The cards do not take up much space and are much easier to keep safe. I’m sure you understand. I will sign your book at shows or anywhere, anytime I see you in person.
Yes, I now sign cards through the mail, and there are two ways to do it. Here's how.
