Art Bra New Haven Logo

This is the logo for the first annual Art Bra New Haven (CT) runway auction to benefit the Smilow Cancer Hospital's Breast Center at Yale New Haven. It was a great show featuring many clever bra designs by breast cancer survivors. Ths logo was done in color pencil with digital enhancements.

Commissioning art is an exhilarating experience and a great investment. It is also easy to do once you know how. When your commission is done, you will have a piece of artwork that is truly unique.

For more information about how to commission an artist, visit my "How to Commission an Artist" lens on Squidoo.com

Just tell me what you need.

My mission is to make your gaming experience a better one by creating a quality commission that is attractive and represents your vision to your complete satisfaction. I have done fantasy pieces and tattoos, I have done RPG character portraits. I have done magazine and book covers. I have even done conceptual drawings for a stone mason to help him help his clients visualize how their project will look before it begins.

When you contact me, include as much detail about your project as you like. If you know what size illustration you want, let me know that too. Let me know if you want it in color or black and white. If you are unsure, I'll give you a quote for both. You can use this chart to get a ballpark idea of the cost. Please remember that the quote is negotiable. I can always alter a piece to fit your budget. Time is the greatest factor influencing price. So the larger and more complex a piece is, the longer it will take and the more expensive it will be. The same piece done smaller or with less "stuff" will take less time and will be less expensive.

Once all of this is established and the quote is accepted, I'll do a sketch and put it up on a private page and send you an e-mail with the page URL. I do this so that I don't lard up your e-mail with huge graphic files that take forever to download. It also makes it easier if you are going to be giving the commission as a gift. Look the sketch over and let me know if it is what you had in mind. If it isn't quite there or if something isn't clear I'll do another sketch. We'll do this until you are satisfied with the design. If you've opted for a color image, the color studies are next. The Bill of Sale will be put up on the site the same way and the payment schedule, if one is needed, will be stated there.

Monthly installments can be made for commissions over $300.00. Payment is due in full before the piece is shipped. Shipping is free for unframed art. Framing can be included in the original quote or it can be quoted after the piece is done. The framer I use is excellent, creative and reasonable. You can pay with PayPal, personal check or Postal Money Order. Credit cards must go through PayPal. Overseas clients please pay by International Postal Money Order. I include a Certificate of Authenticity with each piece.

Once the commission is in your hands or on your wall, it would be great if you would drop me an e-mail that I can use on my Testimonials page. A sentence or two would be great, or feel free to wax on. Word of mouth from a happy client is the best advertisement that I can possibly ask for.

Color work is done in mixed media consisting of Dr. Martins dyes and color pencil on heavy ply watercolor paper, or it may also be done in oils on masonite board. Oil paintings must be at least 16 x 20 inches or larger.

Black and white work is done in multi-weight graphite lead on heavy weight Bristol paper, or may it may also be done in black and white charcoal on halftone paper.

I retain the copyrights to the image. You may license the use of it if you want to make money from it, or restrict my use of it. We'll talk...
