Please remember that ornate weapons, jewelry, clothing/armor or elaborate settings and backgrounds are the stuff that make commissions more time consuming and expensive.
Every quote is negotiable. There are many options available to alter a piece to fit your budget. Time is the greatest factor in any commission. So the larger and more complex a piece is, the longer it will take to do and the more expensive it will be. The same piece done smaller with less "stuff" will take less time and will be less expensive.
